The story behind Luanbike
My vision becomes reality
My passion for cycling began early, but the decisive foundation was laid in 2011 with my apprenticeship at Radsport Gerber in Oftringen – a specialist shop specializing in racing bikes. Even back then, I was fascinated not only by cycling itself, but especially by the development and technology behind bicycle frames. I wanted to understand how materials, geometries, and innovations influence a bicycle's performance.
I've always had a vision of independence and personal development. My desire was to forge my own path in the bicycle industry and not simply follow existing trends. But when I delved deeper into frame development, I realized that the carbon frame market was already flooded with countless manufacturers. I was looking for a clean, sustainable solution – but carbon didn't offer that for me.
In 2020, I began my search for a titanium frame with an integrated cockpit in Switzerland. I wanted a bike that was not only lightweight and strong, but also technically at the highest level. But I couldn't find a frame that met my requirements. It was at that moment that I realized that the Swiss titanium market urgently needed innovative solutions.
This is how Luanbikes was born – from my passion for cycling, my fascination with high-quality materials, and my desire to fill the gap in the market. Today, I develop titanium frames that not only meet the highest technical standards, but also embody the values that are important to me: innovation, quality, and individuality. With Luanbikes, I want to usher in a new era of titanium bicycles in Switzerland – for everyone looking for more than just an ordinary bike.
